How long was your child in newborn diapers... case of 96 worth the $23.00? Would we be better buying size Newborn in the value pack, or just regular packs?

ber Poppins replied: "We didn't know there was a "newborn" size; we used 'Seventh Generation,' which at the time just started at size 1, and those were definitely not too big. We were into size 2s within 2-3 weeks. Size 3 in a few months. Don't stock up on diapers... We would've had a lot of unusable leftovers in wrong sizes if we had. (Or, do stock up, but on cloth diapers.)"

Jennifer W replied: "mine went through one case of newborn diapers and one jumbo pack.. my daughter actually was in them for about a month.. i guess it depends on the baby and how big they are, but i believe they're good till about 9 lbs.."

DolphinFan02 replied: "My daughter was born 7.5 lbs and she was only in newborns for a few weeks. I would say buy regular packs of newborns and start getting the value packs at a larger size. My daughter is 10 months and now in size 3's. We buy 204 Huggies for $37 at Sam's club."

shotgun2052 replied: "Probably just a large, but not value, pack. My son grew out of them pretty quickly. By the time he was 4 months old he was in stage 3 diapers. 23 dollars is kinda steep for only 96 diapers. I would try a cheaper brand like Loves or Huggies."

3peas in a pod replied: "If you havent had the baby yet I would buy a small pack and make sure that you like the way the diaper fits and works. You will go through 96 diapers in a little over a week. The average baby goes thru 12 diapers a day plus."

Old School Mama replied: "We were in newborn diapers for a long time, as our baby was very small when born. It all depends on your baby and how fast they grow. But I would guess it is safe to say you will go through a case for sure."

Lilly_1234 replied: "If I were you, I would get the value pack b/c you are going to change the baby at least 8 times a day. We used the whole value box then we were ready for the next stage (so only buy one box). Worst case is you have a few extra diapers."

Barbara S replied: "I tried several "newborn" sizes in several different brands. I didn't like any of them - they all leaked. I bought size 1's in Pamper's Swaddlers, which worked better, and rolled down the tops underneath my daughter's umbilical cord. Good luck!"

naenae replied: "I got through 2 boxes at least of the newborns in 108 pack."

jenerinlee replied: "My baby is 2 months old and just in size 1!! That case is WAY worth it. I used swaddlers and I bbought probably 5 10 packs before we got to switch to size 1. I changed my newborn whenever she felt wet or was poopy. If your gonna breastfeed shes gonna poop EVERYTIME she is fed in the beginning!! So you WILL go through the diapers!!"

Zippy R replied: "My son was in newborn diapers for about 2 minutes!! At almost 9 lbs seriously it was about a week. Plus he leaked, so we ended up trying several different brands to find one that worked. We ended up in pampers swaddlers. So I would suggest smaller packs to begin with. If you want to get ahead financially I would just put the money on a gift card specifically for diapers in the future - it does take out the sting!! Once the baby is older, you can plan ahead and buy the bigger packs, but I'd skip it for newborn and size 1."

belinda replied: "If you're concerned about price (and who isn't?), then check out cloth diapers. They've changed a lot since we were in them--no more pins or plastic pants! I save a fortune, and I would never go back to disposables. They're so gross."

momoftwo replied: "Trust me you'll go through the newborn size faster than you think you can! We went through 2 boxes."

Ellie04 replied: "My son was born at 7lbs and was actually in newborn diapers for a while. I'd have to say about a month. I know I already had two small packs at home and we bought one jumbo pack and another small pack. I guess it all depends on how fast he grows. I would suggest just buying small packs and saving your receipt. That way if your baby outgrows them (or never ends up wearing them) then you haven't wasted a lot of money and you can just exchange them for a larger size. Oh, and save one of those newborn diapers because when your little one is in size 3 or 4 you will not believe how small he once was. I save one of every size and it is so fun to look back at them all and compare."

danielle t replied: "i used newborn for 1 week and the rest went to waste youd be better off buying size one and if you have to fold them down like the hospital does but i liked having newborn until the rest of the cord fell off it was worth the waste to me"

Emma'sMommy TTC replied: "Emma was in newborn for about two weeks - until she reached ten pounds. That case will last about ten days."

rizing replied: "Well, I bought Pampers Swaddlers in sizes 1-2 for $37 box that held 217 diapers at Sam's Club. If you think about it, you'll be changing your lil one about six times a day. I do plan to buy a regular pack of newborn size for the first week or so, then he'll be able to use what we bought. Edit: Kudos to Ellie...I didn't think of that one. Keeping the receipt in case the baby grows out of that size. Good suggestion! Award her the 10 pts!"

Pammy replied: "Depends on the child's size. Both my kids were premies. My daughter was in newborn til 6mos, son 4mos. Usually the range is about 4-10lbs for newborn, about 8-15lbs for size 1. So the 96-pk should be fine for now. If the baby is nearly 8lbs about a week before the package runs out, buy the size 1. If you do buy more newborn, don't open them til you're 100% sure you need them and keep the receipt just in case you need to exchange/return them."

bernie0805 replied: "My daughter was in Pampers Swaddlers Newborn for the first two months. She was 6lb13oz when she was born. take into consideration that a baby goes through 6-8 diapers a day. 96 would only last 12 days if that baby used 8 diapers a day."

Amanda replied: "New born diapers I didnt stock up in because he was growing to fast. I did however use alot of stage one diapers. Pretty much after his cord fell off he was in stage one diapers. Hes been in those now for about a month in a half. We are now just starting stage two diapers"

Melissa S replied: "Buy the value pack. My baby was small (5lb 8 oz) and she wore N size for the first two months. She is 5 months now (14 pounds) and has just outgrown the size 1. You will go through diapers like hot cakes. Even if you have a normal size baby (7-9 pounds) you will use up all 96 diapers. 96 diapers will last you 8 days if you use 12 a day (which is about normal)."

Connors mommy! replied: "honestly my son was 8lbs 4 ounces and was in newborn diapers for one week!!! I would buy the big pack of newborn diapers and buy a case of size 1s as well because he/she will grow out of them quickly! good luck and god bless!! ohh also some advice but a tube of desitin before your baby is born, they have such sensitive skin that diaper rashes happen quick!!!"

Ember Halo replied: "i used one small package. then my girl was in size ones. she's about to outgrow size 2's now. she's 3 months old."

Nicole C replied: "It does all depend on how big the baby is..if he's 9 or 10 lbs at birth then no, it wouldn't be worth it at all, but if he's only 5 or 6 lbs, then I'd say sure, go for it. They are nice- they fit well, and dip down in the front so not to bother the umbilical cord stump."

tl100 replied: "It's all going to depend on how big your baby is. The value pack would have been fine for me. My baby was 5 lb 14 oz. It's just hard to tell until you know how big your baby is."

Ang replied: "Depends on size of baby.. Mine was born average size (7 pounds 4 oz) and she wore newborns for awhile. i'd say i went thru 3 jumbo packs of them. which was about 120 total so yeah i'd buy that if I were you. .. and the weight on the package isn't completely accurate. newborn says up to 10 pounds but my baby wore them up to 12-14 pounds before the size 1's would fit her. just depends on ur babys frame size."

mum2be14508 replied: "my baby is only 11 days old and we have already had to refill our nappy stacker, we bought a box of 106 newborn nappies and we nearly out, he will poo, we will change him then he will poo again, depends on how often your little one fills their nappy."

Is it a good idea to buy a case of 230 newborn diapers? I'm 15 weeks with my 1st child.I'm not sure how much is too much.

JustMe replied: "Probably not. Your baby could be born large and never wear newborn diapers."

Love my baby boy! replied: "My son was out of newborn diapers in about 2 weeks....so no, I wouldn't think its a good idea."

sasha_1207 replied: "i don't now its dispense on how much your baby weight is my wore for at least for a month or two"

Ashton's Mommy replied: "No. Newborn size only goes to 8 lbs. so your baby might be born too big to wear them, or only fit them for a very short time. I would buy a smaller package (maybe 40, enough to get you through a couple days, but not so much as to be wasted if you don't need them all) to start with. OR, if you DO buy a case, buy a smaller package too. If your baby is born at 5 lbs, you can open the case cause you WILL use them all. If your baby is born at 7 lbs or more, you probably won't use all 230 diapers. Remember that you can exchange unopened diaper packages for other sizes or brands. Edited to add: Newborns go through approx. 12 diapers a day."

Ebony replied: "You should wait until you are in your last trimester at least. Your doctor or midwife will give you a rough estimate of how big the baby will be. If you are worried about not having what you need for the baby buy yourself gift certificates every time you get paid for Walmart or other baby stores. Then in your 9th month you can splurge on all the baby things you need without feeling guilty."

Baby Ruth is expecting a boy! replied: "my daughter wore newborn diapers for nearly 2weeks. Newborn = around 8 diapers a day x 15 days = 120 diapers aprox, so you would be stuck with lots of diapers."

Mommy to Lauryn and Sydney replied: "I would not my oldest was in newborns for about 3 weeks my youngest never fit in to newborns she was over 9lbs, the hospital had to bring sz 1's to our room."

Kristin replied: "the hospital gives you diapers while you are there for the size that your baby is in and since "normal" size babies are around 7lbs or so your baby would only be in newborns for about maybe 2 weeks. but you never know. but i would start buying size ones, two and so on. you can always go exchange them!! because once you open them you cant."

sofagrrrl replied: "NO! That's WAY too many!"

Giggles replied: "Not a good idea. Newborns are supposed to wear newborn diapers until they reach the maximum 8 pounds. Your baby could weigh more than that at birth. But if s/he is 5 pounds at birth (like mine was) you'll end up using the whole 230 and then some. We had all together 600 something newborn diapers, and 4 weeks later we're gonna have to buy another pack. lol Just get a small pack of newborn diapers, you can always buy more later on. Congrats on the baby!"

Mom Of Irish Twins replied: "That's waaay too many. For example, my son went straight to step 1 and my daughter was only in them for a couple weeks."

Where is the Gifts to Grow code on the extra large case of Pampers Cruisers Diapers? I bought Pampers Cruisers at Sam's club and was wondering where in the world is the gifts to grow code? I've searched the packages and the box all over and still cannot find it! Please help!!!!

Smurfy replied: "It should be on the clear plastic packages that the diapers are packaged in inside the box."

frenchy<3 replied: "It's inside the package of diapers since they are the larger box they hide them more cause you get way more points I freaked out last week too when I couldnt find the points but I had to take all the diapers out of the white packaging and literally turn it inside out to find the codes lol"

~KGB~ Kaitlyn's mommy replied: "should be on the plastic bag that the diapers are wrapped in. each pack has a code on them."

Have you ever considered wearing adult diapers to work in case of accidents? ...or extreme laziness?

Flattery Operated replied: "Um no. I'd rather be catheterized."

Coryn replied: "All the time. The restroom is just too far away, so I pee & poo in the diaper. I do change it at lunch time, though."

Habi replied: "No, im fine."

Cel's beaver hates snuggies! replied: "I just like to hover over my garbage can and crap in there."

to susieq or not to susieq replied: "Who would know if I had an accident on a school bus...ever smelled one?"

~Lilbit~ replied: "Who says I don't?"

Sparkles replied: "Yes I am pregnant and have to pee twice an hour. A diaper would save a trip down the stairs!"

Helene replied: "LMFAO!!!!!! ~Laziness!"

pampers case diapers at wal-mart? Does anyone know how much Pampers case diapers are at Wal-Mart?

mommy_2_liam replied: "They were just on sale...the big box in canada for $37.97"

msk2jazzy4u replied: "25 or 27 dollars"

mommyof2 replied: "they are cheaper at Sams club but if you have a coupon Sams wont take them but walmart will. you can get coupons by going to pamers.com"

octavia replied: "20 dollars for a case that's were i get my son diapers from SAM`s club will run you about 30 dollars a case and you get double what wal-mart offers"

adrianne M replied: "they're about 24-27 dollars . I found them on sale alot at kmart for 20 bucks. BJ's whole sale takes coupons if you wanna go there ."

Nyssnowangel replied: "They are alot cheaper at bjs we pay $40 for pameper cruisers but I think regular pampers are like 32.99"

How do you cover a diaper wipe case with fabric, like the ones they sell in the boutiques? These are selling for $20...there has to be an easy way to make them yourself...anyone know? Some sort of adhesive? Check out ebay and you can see them!! Yes, $20 in the boutique stores around here...although most are monogrammed or personalized, too! That's CRAZY!

Be happy or live miserable. replied: "I don't know but I wouldn't pay 20 bucks just to have a cover on one of those."

Spence's Mommy replied: "3M makes a spray adhesive, I'd use that. Make sure you use a little sandpaper on the plastic before gluing the fabric to it because this will make the bond stronger."

Jodie K replied: "all it is usually is fabric and a hot glue gun."

joshua_ashley_griffith replied: "well i know of somethign kinda like that you can get book covers from walmart 50 cents... they have some cute prints... and put on them they are thin enough to snap with your case. I know- odd. but its for a simple everyday style to match... I plan on doing it :)"

Lypiphera replied: "it depends on what kind of wipes you use. do you mean like making a tissue box cover but bigger for wipes? in any case, crochet/ knit or plastic canvas or fabric and interfacing or fabric and glue, contact cement would be good. i dont really know what you're asking for, ive never been in such a boutique."

Donna replied: "I would guess that you could use some type of fabric adhesive or glue. Personally, I wouldn't want a wipe case that was covered in fabric in case it gets messy (use your imagination as to the many things that could mess it up) and its a lot easier to just wipe off the mess if its not on fabric. I once did up a gift basket of useful baby things for a new mum and included a wipes case which I decorated with colourful stickers including the letters of the baby's name so that it was not just different but personalised. She loved it which was an added bonus to the fact that it was cheap and yet thoughtful. P.S. I can't believe that people would pay $20 for a wipes case :)"

LaLa replied: "I would guess some kind of fabric glue. I know what you mean! I saw them on eBay too! I saw some that were just spray painted gold selling for $15! Its crazy!"

imasimms replied: "Try reading this page. They don't specify which glue they use though. I would guess hot glue but it might melt the plastic. Maybe low temp hot glue or Fabrictac."

Is it normal to have older kids wear a "just in case" diaper on long car trips? If a kid is like five or six years old and is trained is it normal if she wears a diaper or pull up on long trips?

Sophia's Mama replied: "I've never made my six year old wear a pull-up during a car ride... If I have to use the restroom, we stop - She gets the same courtesy."

versantly replied: "nope -but it's normal for a parent to stop periodically for potty breaks."

GOAT HEAD replied: "OMG NO. just stop at rest stops when they need to go and dont let them have too much to drink while in the car."

Ya get me? replied: "no, I think that's making her think her parents don't trust her and it makes her doubt her abilities to "hold her liquids" I think it would be demeaning for the child."

Carriehas5 replied: "Most five and six year olds would hate to be put in a diaper, even a pull up. Instead, just make frequent stops and if you have a boy use my trick...have him pee in an empty soda bottle!"

Just Me replied: "5 or 6 years old? No. Stop and go to the restroom. Like you would if you needed to go. I'd hope you wouldn't be wearing diapers on long trips "just in case"."

niki replied: "My daughter does on plane trips, we don't make a habit of using them but they sure are a godsend when the seat belt light is on. I find she holds it longer without accidents just by having that little reassurance that if there is an accident shell be covered so to speak."

annieatthelake replied: "If the child is not dry at night and you expect to be driving at a time when your child will be sleeping for a long period of time, then I would stop somewhere before "bedtime" to change into pygamas and put on whatever your child usually wears at night (nighttime pull-up or something). However, if your child is toilet trained and does not wet the bed regularly, then it is not normal to put them into diapers. You need to plan more time for toilet stops when travelling with kids. Get everyone to go to the bathroom at every stop to avoid unnecessary extra stops. Also keep toilet paper and plastic bags in the car in case you need to make an emergency stop at the side of the road somewhere where there aren't any toilet facilities."

ChloesMommy replied: "No if your child is potty trained they should not be wearing diapers or pull-ups at anytime. This is too confusing for them, they will not understand why most times they have to go in the toilet and other times they can pee in the diaper. You just have to be prepared to pull over many times and possibly give less liquid. They do have travel potty's so you can just pull to the side of the road, or freeway. Then you don't constantly have to go inside places to use the restroom."

jahnarri g replied: "i Know i wouldnt be comfortable in a JUST IN CASE DIAPER but there are out houses gas stations and even TREES that u can stop at never put a diaper on older kids it will hunt them for the rest of their lives and will also be a secret that they will want to tell no one especially if their pottie tranned."

rxing replied: "no you just make sure to stop for frequent stops . I MIGHT bring an emergency potty just incase , there might be stretches of the highway where rest stops are far apart."

})i({ J and D's Momma replied: "No...My 3 year old says "Mommy I have to go potty" then we pull over and he goes at the next rest area....I think putting a pull up or diaper on an already trained child is an insult to that child."

cathrl69 replied: "No! Do you wear one? Then why would any trained kid? By five or six, any kids without medical issues should be more than capable of saying when he/she needs to pee and holding on until you reach an appropriate place to stop."

Heather replied: "Not unless they still have accidents. My son just turned 5 and still has an accident sometimes so if I were going on a long trip and I didn't know how often we'd be ablet o stop I might put one on him just in case, as a last resort to protect his carseat. I'd rather avoid it and make frequent stops though because that could be kind of embarassing for him at that age."

cute redhead replied: "NO THATS NOT NORMAL, WHY DONT YOU WEAR A JUST IN CASE DIAPER? THAT WAY YOU WONT HAVE TO STOP SO MANY TIMES? I WENT IN A CAR ALL THE WAY TO FLORIDA FROM INDIANA WITH 5 YR OLD AND NO I DIDNT PUT HIM IN A DIAPER"

ChimesOfWind replied: "No you shouldn't. If you need the bathroom pull over and find a toilet. Wearing diapers at the age is like going back on potty training"

Proud Parent of 6 replied: "I don't. The first road trip we took with my boys (all 3 when they were 3 years old). I brought Pull-Ups incase it became a problem, but they told me every time they needed to go, and whenever one went, I made she the others tried."

harchickgirl1 replied: "No way. They would be so embarrassed. Safe driving practices dictate that you should stop for a 15 minute break every 2 hours anyway. This prevents driver fatigue, deep vein thrombosis and holding onto urine, which could lead to bladder infections. You should ALL be stopping frequently for a break. Don't let the macho driver let you otherwise."

Mr. Lizard replied: "Yes, it is normal. In my car, the policy is that if the trip is more than two hours, then everyone (including myself) wears a diaper."

what size diapers to buy for friends baby? My friend of many years is having a baby girl here in about 2-3 weeks. They are having a shower tomorrow and I still need a gift for them. I know everyone will be getting them bottle warmers and blankets, etc. I have always heard the the most expensive items have always been diapers because of how often you have to buy them, so I wanted to get them a couple cases of diapers. However, i don't know what size to buy them because I've never had a kid and its been a while since anyone I know did either. The baby would be born in about 2-3 weeks and there are so many sizes of diapers. Do I get them small sizes or average ones? Does the weight on the front of boxes really matter? How long does it take before a baby is 15lbs or more? Any advice is much appreciated.

Gizmo replied: "Get 'em a gift card so they can get what they need......"

Doreen A replied: "Buy the newborn size. If you buy a size too big, it's no big deal, eventually the child will use them."

What??!! replied: "Usually Pampers, Newborns are good...."

photomom replied: "If you have a membership to Sam's Club or Costco, go there. Buy the Huggies size 1-2 (It's all in the same box) and just give that. The newborn diapers are for really tiny babies (preemies) and aren't worth the money. Get a couple boxes of those, they only cost like $16 a box and you get a lot. Also, you can get the wipes there too. That will last a long time."

caly925 replied: "here ya go ,,get 2 boxes of new born diapers and 2 boxes of the next size up they are all marked in weight too and it is a thoughtful gift"

Christine replied: "Buy then 1 or 2 of several sizes. Babies grow pretty quickly. One day one size will fit and the next it won't lol Having several sizes handy makes the run out to the market at 3am to get new diapers something they won't have to do hopefully! It's a great idea. Diapers are sooooo expensive when you're buying the stinkers all the time."

cherry_girlie_rockin replied: "newborn, maybe 1 or 2. not any larger though, because they'll have to store them forever. Depends on how much the babe weighs at birth. Some are 5 pounders, others 12."

illustrat_ed_designs replied: "Dude, I think there's a newborn size. And the size matters because of the baby's waist size and the leakage involved when you get diapers that are too big, not pretty at all! I speak from experience, my friend! Believe me, you are doing a service to your friend, and if possible for you, get them a 'Diaper Genie', if they don't have one. It's a special trash can for diapers, so that you don't have to smell them after you change them, they sell them at like Toys R Us and other baby stores, they'll love you for it!"

mslorikoch replied: "Parents are picky about diapers. Your best bet is to get them a Wal-mart, or Target gift card (Or their favorite store). Then they can get the brand, and sizes they need. You could write a little note in your card telling them the gift card is for diaper duty...."

sjeboyce replied: "if the baby is not born yet buy newborns or if the baby is going to be BIG then get size 1 but my daughter was 6lbs 9oz when born and she hardly fit into the newborns ...also if you get like pampers or huggies she can take them anywhere they sell them and exchange them for a smaller or bigger size! Everyone got me 1's and 2's because she was said to be about 9 lbs but she was 5 weeks early!"

jake S replied: "dude this is easy (dad of 2) Just get him the size that says newborn. He will go through a ton of those. Also look at getting them a Diaper Genie for disposal."

momof3 replied: "Get size 1. Newborn diapers only fit babies up to 10 pounds and they become a tight fit after about 8 pounds. A lot of people buy newborn and then the baby outgrows them before you get through them. Size 1 is a size the baby will be in for a while. You may also consider things like wipes , A&D ointment , electrical plug covers (cheap but very much needed), You can also never have enough onesies (in 3-6 months size not newborn).....EVERYONE buys newborn everything because it is so cute and little but they outgrow newborn in no time esp. if the baby weighs close to 8 pounds at birth. By 4 months many babies are already 16 pounds."

triniwarrior24 replied: "you can buy the new born and the size right after that( in huggies its stage one) because it makes no sense buying to much newborn diapers because babies tend to outgrow these diapers in about 2 - 4 wks sometimes less when my son was 2weeks i could not use newborn diapers again he had to use stage one"

curstadevon replied: "Get 1 or 2 packages of Newborn and 1 package of size 1. A baby stays in the newborn diapers for about 1-4 months. But that depend on how fast they grow. I have a 2 1/2 year old who is in Size 5 diapers. He has been in those now for about a year. So it just depends on how fast the baby grows."

warehaus replied: "This will be a nice gift for your friend. Newborns go through a lot of diapers. Get the newborn size. There are some that have a cut-away section to accomodate the umbilicus until it falls off. This is a nice feature, but the umbilicus doesn't stay on that long, so don't invest in a lot of this style. I find that the weight measurements and the fit of the diapers correspond pretty well. If you don't want to get just one size, you might consider getting one case of newborn size (usually N) and then one case of the next size up. But don't get too many. It's kind of a pain to store them if there are a lot. For sure do not get size 3,4, or 5. This is usually for babies that are 1 year and older."

sunflowerlizard replied: "Diapers are the best gift to get. I think you should get size one. From my own experience: I had 8 packs of new born diapers, my baby weighed 8lbs 11oz, she wore newborns for a week. I had to take the newborns that I hadn't used back to the store to get the next size. All babies will wear size one, and if parents have them on hand, they won't have to run to the store to get them."

milwifenmom replied: "Just get them a gift card because it sounds like you have the slightest clue on diaper sizes. Get them a gift card to one of the stores like Walmart, Toys R Us, Target or Kmart."

jbw4132 replied: "You mentioned that you want to get them a couple of cases. I would get a case of size 2 and a case of size 3. Most babies aren't in newborn and size 1 for very long. The brand of diaper is another factor to consider. I usually use cloth but when I do use a disposable I prefer Pampers Swaddlers, they are so soft and very absorbent. I also use LUVS but I've heard that they are not that great for boy babies because they do gap in the front. And if you are feeling very generous a case of wipes would be a plus. Get Huggies with no dyes, no scent."

Sleek replied: "Great idea. They're never going to forget you. You should buy a small pack of newborn diapers and a larger pack of size ones. Size ones go from about 12 lbs. to 16 lbs. Huggies are the best...no leaks. For your money if you have a Costco membership, they sell 192 diapers for about $27 bucks. THAT'S a good deal! A baby born under 7 lbs will take about 6 weeks to get to 15 lbs. A baby born 8-10 lbs will get to 15 lbs in 4-8 weeks. That time flies by!!"

camoprincess32 replied: "The amount of smaller sized diapers that your friend will need will vary, depending on the size of her baby at birth. I found that the size i used for the longest period of time is size 3. My daughter is 19 months and can still comfortably wear a size 3 diaper. But if your friend does not have a place to store the diapers you can get a few cases of size 1/2 diapers. But my suggestion would be to buy size 3. And wipes too. Buy sensitive skin wipes."

Karen N replied: "Babies grow fast so too big is ok they will soon ues them."

icemammamalta replied: "Get them a big pack of Huggies diapers in newborn.I prefer them from Pampers"

Brooke replied: "Newborn sizes are needed for the first several weeks then the baby will quickly move into size 1. By about 4 months they should be ready for size 2. Personally, I would get them size 1. Someone will get them newborn sizes and they really can use size 1 right after birth (most hospitals use size 1), unless it is a very tiny baby. My 10 month old is getting ready to move out of size 3 and she is 23 lbs."

beerbohms replied: "How about a gift basket (a small, toddler size, wicker one) full of things that they will use daily. I received this and it saved me MANY trips to the store when I was sleep deprived from all of the midnight feedings and other to do's. As for diapers, I would get newborn size to ten pounds or size 1; however, size one starts at eight pounds. If they have a baby that is under eight pounds, they may leak; however, that child will grow super fast, so they will use them in a month or two if you choose to buy size 1 diapers. Some other things that you could include are: Newborn or sensitive skin baby wipes Mylecon (infant gas drops) Infant Tylenol Baby shampoo Baby wash disposable washcloths nail clippers comb and brush set lap pads (these REALLY come in handy) a teething ring I received all of these for my shower and it helped out A LOT. Good Luck and have fun at the shower!"

Crystal replied: "I wouldn't buy a case of newborn diapers. Sometimes babies are born too big for newborn sizes. I would suggest either size 1 or 2. Your friend can always stash them away and use them when their child gets bigger. I always find it nice to have a size larger than my baby is wearing. My babies are usually smaller than most, but my 4 month old is barely 12 pounds. Some babies are born at 10 pounds and move into size 1 or 2s within a month. Good luck!"

Heather H replied: "there are boxes of pampers swaddlers that are size 1-2 that are good for babies up to 15 lbs but look at it this way no matter what size you buy them they are eventually going to use them"

mlaurie406 replied: "I would honestly get size 2 or 3. Many people will get the newborn and 1's, then nada. We had a "diaper" party for my husband and his friends, and it was awesome how many diapers we got! i don't really think the guys knew what they we doing buying diapers, but we got a lot of 2's and 3's and it really helped down the road!"

I have 28 cases of size 6 Baby Dry Pampers. 72 diapers per case 4 packs of 18 diapers each.? These Pampers have flex sides,Sesame Streest Characters,Baby Powder Scent. I posted them on Craigs list, but didn't get any replies. I want to post them on EBay and I have it set up, but I am a 62 year old grandmother that has never sold a thing inb her life,so how can I sell them all at once instead of one at a time? Would I make it a lot sale? Oh no I sell them for $23.00 a case and they sell for $10.00 a package in stores around my house. Also they were not stolen I acquired them through legal channels, and can prove it. Sorry no matter how good it would make me feel to give them away I can't do that, because I a, a 62 yr old grandmother living on a fixed income raising 5 grandchildren ,from the ages of my 6 year old twins to 18, and we really need the money to pay my home taxes!

[Lauren] replied: "I think that'd be pretty hard to sell. Maybe you can go to a local store and see if you can sell them to them. And by the way, how and why do you have all of those diapers?"

YA! 4ever replied: "How much are you selling it for? If the price is near what you can pay for at the store, people won't buy them. I'd say if you want to get rid of them, take them down to the social services office and just stand in the front of the building and catch the attention of a woman with a young one and give her a deal she can't pass up."

LadyLynn replied: "If you can afford it, give them to charity. There are so many poor Moms out there who can really use them. You can call your local library, ask for "reference," and they will tell you how to go about it. It'll make you feel wonderful. Good luck! You do what you've got to do! :)"
